Each Directors Circle member, through their contribution, makes it possible to formally invite and encourage participation by major motion picture artists to San Diego, no matter where they are residing around the world. In past seasons, the Directors Circle has been responsible for guests from London (Director Stephen Frears with MRS. HENDERSON PRESENTS). Sweden (Actress Maria Lundqvist with Finland's Oscar® submission MOTHER OF MINE) and Canada (Salute to Director Norman Jewison), to name just a few visiting artists. Although we are requesting a minimum contribution of $350, others have contributed more and you are welcome and encouraged to do so! For that contribution, members of the Directors Circle partake in private mixers and meetings with visiting artists, as well as receive gifts and surprise opportunities throughout the Cinema Society season.
