AN EVENING OF AWARD WINNING SHORT FILMS

Film Lineup Selected from the Following (in alphabetical order):

ALBERTINE (French-Belgium, 20 min): Thinking that her life Is all but over, Albertine spends all her time at other people's funerals or in her apartment, planning her own. Then one fateful evening, a knock at her door opens her world to a whole new beginning.

BILLY THE KID (United Kingdom, 16 min): Billy is an English teenager who lives by the cowboy code and dressed the part. On his first day at a new school he must overcome both everyday bullying and some very unexpected outlaws.

FLASH (Spain, 7 min): When a lonely man enters a photo booth, the pictures that emerge are wholly unexpected. Could he have finally met his match?

GROUNDED (France, 19 min): Stephanie goes to work at her airline counter job on a day like any other. Only today, she'll have the opportunity to help another person in a profound way.

MR. MERGLER'S GIFT (Canada, 30 min): A revisit of one of the most popular award winning shorts in Cinema Society history...with a twist!

THE PRESENT (Germany, 4 min): A young boy who spends most of his time playing video games has his world turned around when his mother gives him a very special puppy for a present.

THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THE JOB (France, 8 min): John, a middle-aged professional recently laid off due to downsizing, nervously awaits his first appointment at a job interview center and has the luck of drawing the interview from Hell. Revenge, when it comes, is so sweet!
