APPLES FROM THE DESERT
Rivka's father Reuven is a scholarly, Old Testament patriarch, her mother Victoria a meekly obedient Orthodox Sephardic wife. Knowing she is no ordinary apple, Rivka has fallen far from the family tree. Betraying her upbringing for a radical new life, she runs away from her arid, loveless home to live with her boyfriend, Dubi, on a secular kibbutz in the Negev. Six months later, Victoria defies Reuven and travels to the kibbutz to confront Rivka and the monster who has so deviously changed her from an obedient daughter to—what? How will Victoria react to Rivka and the apple-growing boyfriend she chose for herself? Will Rivka's new, purpose-driven life affect Victoria's own?
Running Time: 90 Minutes / Not Rated
PLEASE NOTE: APPLES FROM THE DESERT is in Hebrew with English Subtitles.
