PARENTAL GUIDANCE

Old school grandfather Artie (Billy Crystal), who is accustomed to calling the shots, meets his match when he and his eager-to-please wife Diane (Bette Midler) agree to babysit their three grandkids when their type-A helicopter parents (Marisa Tomei, Tom Everett Scott) go away for work. But when 21st century problems collide with Artie and Diane's old school methods of tough rules, lots of love and old-fashioned games, it's learning to bend - and not holding your ground - that binds a family together.

Rated PG for some rude humor Running Time: TBA

A silly harmless family romp that I am sure will be very relatable to many parents and grandparents. I am sure the leads (Billy Crystal & Bette Midler) could relate but I think the baseball theme and small dance/singing number in the kitchen was more of an attraction for them to do the movie. Not memorable and won’t be on any awards list.

I cannot improve on Rich's comments. Lots of fun!

Any film that makes me laugh starts off with a "3" and then I'll add one point for any film that helps me understand the next generation.

Expected little but was pleasantly surprised. Billy Crystal has a twinkle in his eye though out. Great chemistry between both he and Bette. They acted like two old Jewish grandparents. Movie would be good for the whole familty. No Acadamy Awards for this film but nice holiday fare.
