TROUBLE WITH THE CURVE

Academy Award® winner Clint Eastwood (“Million Dollar Baby,” “Unforgiven”), Oscar® nominee Amy Adams (“The Fighter,” “Doubt,” “Junebug”), and Justin Timberlake (“The Social Network,” “Friends with Benefits”) star in “Trouble with the Curve,” which marks the feature film directorial debut of Eastwood’s longtime producing partner Robert Lorenz.

Gus Lobel (Clint Eastwood) has been one of the best scouts in baseball for decades, but, despite his efforts to hide it, age is starting to catch up with him. Nevertheless, Gus—who can tell a pitch just by the crack of the bat—refuses to be benched for what could be the final innings of his career.

A Warner Bros. Pictures Release, TROUBLE WITH THE CURVE opens commercially in San Diego on September 21st.

Vintage Clint Eastwood -- knew what to expect from the curmudgeon, and enjoyed it a lot. Great casting. Predictable plot, but didn't really care. Loved the premise.

This was a very enjoyable movie. I think it has the potential for Oscar nods for acting (Clint, Amy?) but I don’t think for the film over all (but I thought about Moneyball too). I thought the film was sweet and a nice tribute to the old school Baseball way of thinking. I did find it a little predictable (I just envisioned Gus & Mickey “discovering” Peanut Boy/Rigo at a pick-up/town game as they were driving back to Atlanta together), but loved that it turned out the way I wanted. I LOVE when the bad guy or in this case jerks (Matthew Lillard’s character and the character Bo Gentry) get there just deserts. It’s a movie you can bring a date(there is something for both genders), parents and even grandparents and certainly Baseball fans.

It was good but not great. I wanted to like the characters, but spent too much time not liking them. I knew a transformation would happen eventually, but it took forever, and wasn't nearly as satisfying as I wanted it to be.

Movies that I love leave me feeling that I can't wait to see them in the theater with other friends; others leave me feeling that I can wait for the DVD. Trouble with the Curve left me feeling I can wait.

Really enjoyed this 'feel good' movie, but disappointed that the 4:30 group did not have a guest speaker? And, why didn't we have a guest speaker from the baseball world - we have our very own Norm Sherry living here in UTC, and he would have been an excellent candidate to talk about scouting, etc.

I really enjoyed this movie. I know it wasn't great but it was wonderfully watchable, sweetly sensitive and berry berry good. Just like baseball...and I am a sucker for baseball and love! It was comfort food for the eyes.

Clint Eastwood is always a joy to behold. (politics aside). While there were flaws this movie was enjoyable to watch. Good chemistry between the major characters. Being a baseball fan I enjoyed the dusty trail the scouts had to travel. Appreciated Justin Timberlake and Amy Adams in their roles. Would recommend to anybody who enjoys a good story and "serviceable" acting

Enjoyed the movie. Predictable, but still fun. Eastwood is a great curmudgeon. Amy Adams was much better for the part than the first or third casting choices.
