I thought that I would like it more than I did, but ended up thinking that I could take it or leave it, thus the 3 rating.

The French always seem to be able to pull of these pieces of fluff (e.g., Avenue Montaigne). Just when this film hit cute overload it redeemed itself. An enjoyable film with superb acting.

How do you make “anxiety” funny? ROMANTICS ANONYMOUS knows. There were many very funny scenes in the first half; the “touching” scene being the funniest. I felt RA slowed down toward the end, but the translated screenplay, comic actors, and that slow, savor-style of filmmaking all added up to a peaceful, unconcerned evening.

What a delightful film. The French have a way with these romantic, quirky movies. Thanks for bringing us this one, Andy. Characters were perfectly cast and the chocolate theme worked well. Loved the ending.
