He has directed several shorts films that have screened internationally, including SYSTEM OF UNITS (04) and AMAL (04), the latter of which he adapted into the feature AMAL, which the Cinema Society showcased back in 2007, and winner of numerous Audience Favorite Awards, including Scottsdale and Santa Barbara Film Festivals. SIDDARTH, which just won the Heartland Film Festival Award for Best Dramatic Film, is his latest work.

Richie will be introducing and discussing both works this evening.

After sending away his 12 year-old son Siddharth for work, Mahendra (a chain-wallah who specializes in fixing broken zippers on the streets) is relieved as his financial burdens will be alleviated. But when Siddharth fails to return home, Mahendra learns he may have been taken by child-traffickers. With little resources and no connections, he travels across India in pursuit, with the hope that whatever force arbitrarily took his child away will return him unharmed.

Running Time: 96 Minutes / Not Rated
